21 Greenpoint is our 2nd PH project (after 174 Grand) and is our 1st retrofit. It is an existing 3 story building from the late 1800s with a commercial space on the 1st floor and 2 apartments above. Status: the interior of the building has been demolished to have access to the brick walls in order to enable installation of passive house insulation and an air barrier. Right now we are searching for the right windows, which turns out to be quite difficult as the PH movement is still young in the US. But more about windows in another post…
